Talent Intelligence Hub integration with SF Performance & Goals

Many customers have heard of the Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH), yet they do not know how to integrate it with their talent processes or understand the advantages it can bring. If this is your case, then you are in the right place!

In this article, we will focus on integrating TIH with SF Performance & Goals Management (PMGM).

1. What is Talent Intelligence Hub?

Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH) is an AI-powered skills framework built into SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite.

If TIH is still new to you, you should start by reading this blog first and then come back here, since in this blog we are only going to focus on how to integrate it with SF PMGM.

2. Talent Intelligence Hub integration with SF PMGM

The following are the main steps we recommend for integrating TIH with SF PMGM, along with their benefits.

1) Add the Skill attribute in your Performance process

With TIH you can now include core, custom and job-specific skills in your performance forms and 360º reviews.

You will now find the „Attribute“ section, which replaces the legacy „Competency“ section. By selecting this option, you can decide whether to add a competency or a skill to your form. Then, you can set up the form in the same way as with the legacy competency section.

2) Synchronize Growth Portfolio results in your Performance process

Next, decide which performance form results you want to synchronize with the Growth Portfolio. You can do this by accessing Manage Talent Intelligence Hub.

3) Synchronize your Performance form rating results with the Growth Portfolio

Skills and competencies proficiency ratings from the Growth Portfolio can be pre-populated within the performance form.

For this feature, you will need to enable the relevant setting in „Form Template Settings“.

4) Enable „Assisted Skills Recommendations using CPM“

Now, attributes can be recommended on a user’s Growth Portfolio based on their activities, achievements, and feedback in Continuous Performance Management (CPM).

However, this feature requires purchasing the SAP AI Unit license.

3. Talent Intelligence Hub integration with other SF Talent modules

Additionally, you can integrate Talent Intelligence Hub (TIH) with other talent modules such as Development, Succession, Recruiting, or Learning (LMS).
