This blog post will review all SAP AI features for SuccessFactors Recruiting as of the 1H 2025 release.

Introduction to SAP AI features for SuccessFactors Recruiting

These are the SAP AI features that are available for implementation in SF Recruiting as of today:

  • AI-Assisted Skills Matching for Candidate Resumes*

  • Talent Intelligence Hub in Recruiting

*SAP AI Unit license is required for these features, apart from the respective Recruiting Management and/or Recruiting Marketing licenses.

Description Enhancement Using AI​

Generative AI has been implemented to assist recruiters and hiring managers with high-quality job descriptions. This feature will present the original and AI-generated versions side by side for comparison and evaluation. Afterwards, you can accept or discard the suggestions.

Job Analyzer

This feature analyses the job description based on these 3 sections:

  • Salary Benchmark section: get an overall understanding of the salary information.
  • Gender Bias section: suggests alternatives to avoid gender-biased terminology.
  • Recommended Skills section: identify relevant skills.

At the moment, the Salary Benchmark section is only available for jobs in the US. Also, the Analysis of skills and gender bias is only available in English (GB & US).

AI-Assisted Writing for Recruiting

AI-Assisted Writing is a tool that supports employees to improve their writing skills in different modules of SuccessFactors.

Specifically in Recruiting, the AI-assisted Writing tool is available for all fields that support the Rich Text Editor. This applies to:​

  • Job Description fields (With or without Job Profile)​
  • Offer Letter​
  • Schedule Interview​
  • Contact Candidate​
  • Job Posting (Agency comments)​
  • All email functionalities

AI-Assisted Skills Validation & Matching for Applicants

This feature consists of 2 main steps:

  1. AI-Assisted Skills Validation: allows applicants to add and manage skills they’d like to share with the recruiter as part of their application​. Check out the demo video here.
  2. AI-Assisted Skills Matching: This shows the applicant’s skills and how they match with the skills required for the job. Also, for this, you can find a demo video here.

You can choose to enable both options together or only the second option if you do not want candidates to be able to view and update skills.

In addition, a rule can be configured if you want to restrict this feature based on certain criteria. For example, AI-based Skills Matching cannot be used for jobs in Germany.

AI-Assisted Skills Matching for Candidate Resumes​

This new feature lets candidates upload their résumés and use AI to identify their skills. They’ll then get personalized job recommendations based on those skills. However, to protect user privacy, résumés and extracted skills are stored for only 30 minutes and are not linked to any job application. Additionally, an optional data privacy consent statement can be enabled to ensure transparency and compliance further.

AI-Assisted Job Skills on Career Sites​

The feature Job Skills on Career Sites is another cloud component. It displays skills identified in the job requisition using AI. When the AI-Assisted Skills Matching for Candidate Résumés feature is enabled, the skills that match a candidate’s profile are highlighted and prioritised at the top of the list, making it easier to spot relevant matches quickly.

AI-Assisted Skills Validation for Job Requisitions​

Recruiters can use AI to find the skills required for a job requisition. This helps them review and define the essential skills necessary for the position. Consequently, recruiters can perform several tasks, such as adding, removing, and saving skills in the requisition. On top of that, they can categorize primary and secondary skills to prioritise the requirements.

Interview Question Generation using AI

While MS Teams is integrated with SuccessFactors, you can send a notification 24 hours before an upcoming interview. Accordingly, AI can be used to automatically generate tailored interview questions, ensuring a structured and effective evaluation process. Afterwards, you easily provide feedback based on your assessment of the applicant. Furthermore, can evaluations be accessed within Microsoft Teams, streamlining the entire interview workflow.

AI-Assisted Interview Feedback Insights

With this feature, you can generate comprehensive insights from the candidate’s interview feedback using generative AI capabilities. This will incorporate candidate ratings, detailed remarks on skills and competencies, interviewer notes, overall comments, and final recommendations to support informed hiring decisions.

Talent Intelligence Hub in Recruiting

With the implementation of Talent Intelligence Hub it is now possible in recruiting to rate candidates based on skills, in addition to the competencies that could already be assessed in the previous versions.
